HARC serves as a clearinghouse of HIV/AIDS related information, education and outreach for a Michigan four county region (Washtenaw, Jackson, Livingston and Lenawee). Recognized and rewarded by local, state and national groups, HARC’s Prevention/Outreach Team provides innovative and effective programs that help decrease HIV transmission.

Something New: Satussexy is a new social marketing/media campaign, which is a result of a community mobilization grant between the Michigan Department of Community Health, HARC , AIDS Partnership of Michigan (APM) and the ad company And So She Wrote.  Its purpose is to raise awareness about HIV testing and to get young African American men who have sex with men tested for HIV and other STDs.  The pieces of the campaign include billboards, radio ads, posters, post cards and a micro-website.  Check out the website at www.statussexy.com
