The HIV/AIDS Resource Center is excited to announce a NEW addition to this year’s AIDS Walk Michigan!

AIDS Walk Michigan - Ann Arbor  will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010. NEW this year is the addition of AIDS Walk Michigan - Jackson which will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010.

HARC is very excited about the addition of the Jackson location and to make the day even more special, the Jackson Downtown Development Authority will be hosting a classic car cruise beginning at 1:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out and “spend the day in Jackson” where they can support HARC, participate in AIDS Walk Michigan - Jackson, and then head one block over to the classic car cruise and enjoy the festivities on the Michigan Ave. strip!

Both walks include FREE registration, FREE commemorative AIDS Walk Michigan T-shirt, and FREE warm-up snacks.  For those participating in the Ann Arbor walk, stick around and enjoy the after-party lunch and awards ceremony!

Help us reach our goal of 500 Walkers and enable us to spread the word about HIV/AIDS in our community.

This unique, one-of-a-kind wine tasting event is the perfect way to kick-off your holiday season!

The highlight of the event is the raffle that will feature over one hundred bottles of wine donated by local celebrities, sports figures, wine collectors and bon vivants along with live music by the Jesse Kramer Trio, delicious appetizers, fine wines and the fabulous chocolate fountain from Schakolad Chocolate Factory.  This is one event that you will NOT want to miss!

Save the date for the 7th Annual Wine Cellar slated for Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Kensington Court hotel in Ann Arbor.   Ticket and raffle sales will begin in September.

15th Annual Dining For Dollars Raises Over $19,000

Over one-hundred guests of the community enjoyed picture-perfect weather and attended Dining For Dollars to show their support of HARC and people living with HIV/AIDS.   The support was evident with over $19,000 being raised for HARC!

Hosted for the fifth-straight year at Zingerman’s Roadhouse, this fun-filled evening began with delicious appetizers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages while our guests previewed the silent auction and strolling raffle items that were generously donated by local retailers.

The evening was magical when the guests’ heard a true-story testimony by Curtis, our special guest living with HIV.  His story touched the hearts of many and gave everyone even more reason to support HARC and the services they provide.

Chef Alex Young and his delicious entrees pleased everyone in attendance and the “famous” donut sundae bar was the perfect way to complete the meal.  HARC extends a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of Zingerman’s Roadhouse for, once again, going above and beyond the call of duty to make this event special!
