Please join us for the 8th Annual Wine Cellar on Thursday December 1, 2011 beginning at 6:30 pm. This year’s event will be held at Metal Studio and Gallery located at 220 Felch Street in Ann Arbor. HARC is once again partnering with Everyday Wines to bring you a selection of holiday wines for your tasting pleasure. Guests will be treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres provided by local caterers, a sampling of European chocolates and live jazz performed by the Jesse Kramer Trio.

The highlight of the event is the raffle that features over one hundred bottles of wine donated by local celebrities, sports figures, wine collectors and bon vivants that are autographed with their personal story of the wine. The Wine Cellar raffle features a grand prize of over fifty bottles of wine …an instant wine cellar to one individual from this outstanding collection!

It is only fitting that our last event of the season take place on World AIDS Day. Support local HIV/AIDS services and commemorate World AIDS Day with HARC. AIDS Walk

Two beautiful days, no rain, and over 300 walkers gathered on the weekend of September 24-25 in support of AIDS Walk Michigan - Ann Arbor/Jackson. Together, this two-day event raised over $19, 000 for local HIV/AIDS services provided to our community by HARC.

In Jackson, we want to especially thank Gerdau for their generous sponsorship. Thank you to Jackson Coffee and Hinkley Bakery who graciously provided coffee and donuts while the walkers gathered to begin their three-mile walk through historic downtown Jackson.

In Ann Arbor, we were honored to have Debbie Dingell join us for opening remarks and the ribbon-cutting. Morning refreshments were provided by Zingerman’s and Whole Foods. Walkers got pumped up thanks to Noura Bashshur from Vie: Fitness and Spa and her energetic warm-up routine! Walkers returned to hot pizza compliments of HARC and chips from Better Made Snack Foods, cookies from Great Harvest Bread Company and water from Absopure while sitting and mingling with friends, cheering on those crossing the finish line and waiting for the winners to be announced.

Our sincere thanks to volunteer groups from UAID, MCSP, Circle K, and those who individually volunteered. Each person played an important role in making the walk a huge success. Special thanks to HARC photographer, Tim Howley of Howley Photography for spending the day with us and capturing such a fun-filled afternoon!

Dining for Dollars - Spring 2012

Thank you for joining us for the 16th annual Dining for Dollars event!

HARC supporters came together to enjoy this wonderful dinner, silent auction and strolling raffle. Best of all, proceeds from the event will stay in our community to support local HIV/AIDS services!

Hosted for the sixth year at Zingerman’s Roadhouse, this fun-filled evening featured the creations of James Beard nominated Chef Alex Young, not to mention the delicious sundae bar complete with lots of Zingerman’s goodies.

The 17th annual Dining for Dollars will happen again in Spring 2012. There are sponsorship, advertising and auction donation opportunities, all great ways to show your support for people affected by HIV/AIDS in our community.
